Opr. Dr. Oktay Tosun: “I completed a master’s in medical aesthetics in Italy. Answering the question about the gender distribution in procedures, Opr. Dr. Tosun said, “It is well known that women have been quite knowledgeable and interested in the field of medical aesthetics in recent years. However, looking at the present, we cannot say that aesthetic services are only for women because many male clients are now also undergoing procedures. What was once unusual has become normal, and the demand is increasing, meaning the population in aesthetics is expanding and will continue to grow. In social life, this allows people to feel more energetic, dynamic, and healthy, which brings vitality to their daily lives. Medical aesthetics has now become a part of men’s lives, and the volume of procedures has significantly increased.”

Oktay Tosun: “THERE IS NO GENDER DIVISION IN AESTHETICS ANYMORE”
Detailing that gender is no longer a barrier in aesthetics, Dr. Coşkun stated, “The notion of gender distinction in aesthetics no longer exists. This perception can be completely eliminated. I would also like to point out that these procedures are not only aesthetic; they are sometimes combined with other treatments. Whether male or female clients, when these procedures are applied alongside acne scar treatments and other therapies, we achieve successful results in terms of quality and positive effect.”

Answering the question about seasonal procedures, Dr. Coşkun said, “Since we are currently in the summer period, I would like to talk about the effects of the sun. In autumn and winter, we perform more aggressive procedures, while in summer we strengthen the skin to prepare it for the treatments to come. Mesotherapy procedures—where we apply cocktails containing amino acids, enzymes, and hyaluronic acid via small injections—are performed during the summer. This helps protect the skin from the harmful effects of the sun and increases the skin’s moisture quality.”
